Conformance detail

How each success criterion is met in this build. A full VPAT (Section 508 / EN 301 549) accompanies the production system.

WCAG 2.1 success criteria and how the system conforms
Success criterionHow the system conforms
1.1.1 Non-text Content (A)Every meaningful image carries descriptive alt text; decorative imagery is marked aria-hidden. Icons inside controls are paired with visible or screen-reader-only labels.
1.3.1 Info and Relationships (A)Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), one H1 per page, ordered heading levels, data tables with scoped headers and captions.
1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (AA)All text and UI borders meet or exceed 4.5:1 against their background. A high-contrast mode is available in the toolbar on every page.
1.4.4 Resize Text (AA)Text-size controls scale the interface to 110% and 125% without loss of content or function; layouts reflow to 320px width.
1.4.11 Non-text Contrast (AA)Form borders, focus rings, progress bars, and status pills meet 3:1 against adjacent colors. Status is never conveyed by color alone — text labels accompany every state.
2.1.1 Keyboard (A)Every control — filters, dialogs, approvals, calendars, and the QR check-in panel — is operable by keyboard with no traps.
2.4.1 Bypass Blocks (A)A 'Skip to main content' link is the first focusable element on every page and moves focus to the main region.
2.4.7 Focus Visible (AA)A 3px high-contrast focus outline with 2px offset is applied to all interactive elements.
2.3.3 Animation from Interactions (AAA)A 'Reduce motion' control disables transitions; prefers-reduced-motion is honored automatically.
3.1.1 / 3.1.2 Language (A)The document language attribute updates with the English/Español toggle; passages in another language carry their own lang attribute.
3.3.1 / 3.3.2 Error Identification & Labels (A)Every input has a persistent visible label. Errors are announced in text, identify the field, and describe the correction.
4.1.3 Status Messages (AA)Result counts, approvals, and submissions are announced through aria-live regions without moving focus.
