About this position

Walk an assigned 1.5-mile beach segment at sunrise, identify and mark new nests, and record data in the statewide nesting database.

Volunteers in this role report to the location volunteer coordinator, complete a site-specific safety briefing, and log service hours in the Volunteer Management System after each shift. Hours are reviewed and approved by the coordinator or an assigned volunteer supervisor.

  • Level 1 Orientation
  • Level 2 Background Screening
